Soap

Soap

Our genuine soap has a rich creamy lather that cleans skin while the infused herbs saturate and the moisturizing properties leave the natural balance of skin. Soap retains homeostasis of the skin, and, for preventing the spread of sickness and disease, washing with soap kills bacteria and viruses. Wild Meadow Soaps are handcrafted with organic oils and herbs using the traditional soap-making method known as cold-process. It is made by combining fats (plant oils) and sodium hydroxide (lye) causing a chemical reaction called saponification. The blend of oils are infused with herbs, and then the herbal oil is mixed with lye to cause saponification. This chemical reaction allows the lye to combine with the oil, and it is chemically transformed into soap. The oils are kept at a low-heated temperature during this process to retain the nutrient profile of the plants' oils and the herbs. It is then cured and the bar soap is created. The soap-making process naturally produces glycerin as a by-product derived from the plant oils. As a humectant, glycerin attracts water from the air and retains moisturize to the skin, while effectively preserving the natural balance of moisture.
