Salve

Softened on the skin, our salves are herbal ointments that form a protective barrier to promote healthful skin, while the herbs are absorbed into the body. Wild Meadow Salves are handcrafted using organic herbs, sustainably-harvested organic plant-based wax, and organic plant oils. The salves are made using traditional practice methods of herb-infusing with regard to maximum herbal potency for absorption within the skin. The oils are used to extract the herbs. The extraction is produced at room temperature through the timely method known as maceration. It is the soaking and softening of herbs in the blended oils, until at which time the equilibrium of the herbal potency is reached inside and outside the herb. The potent herbal oil is then blended with plant-based wax to create a semi-solid salve.
